Alice in Wonderland – Woodhill Hall

2015 saw the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’

Since starting my business back in 2012 I’ve been luck enough to be involved in lots of events with an ‘Alice’ theme and so I wanted to pay tribute to this fantastic story with my own take on the theme.

pulled together an amazingly talented group of women and we had so much fun spending the day creating these images.

I knew I wanted to set up an outdoor tea party and that I wanted to use bold colours but the focal point for my inspiration came from Sadie May Cakes incredible Alice cake.

After seeing the newly refurbished rooms at Woodhill Hall I couldn’t think of a better venue. A lot of places are labelled ‘quirky’ these days but Woodhill Hall can genuinely use this word to describe their rooms, it’s a fantastic place with a very unique style

I had worked with Natalie Pluck earlier in the year and I knew that she would help to create the most amazing images, she has a love of dappled light and we were so lucky to get amazing weather on an unseasonably warm day in November!

Amber from The Vintage Wedding Co. made a beautiful suite of stationery for me to use and Emma Bunting contributed some stunning bunting made from vintage silks.

Local dress designer Kathryn Russell kindly loaned the most beautiful dress and bejewelled accessories.

The pictures speak for themselves, I hope you find some wonderfully weird and delightfully delicious inspiration from them.
